Rist Canyon Inn: A Hidden Gem Fort Collins Wedding Venue
Real talk, when I think about cozy, Colorado mountain weddings that still feel super accessible for guests, Rist Canyon Inn is absolutely on that list. Amber and Bennet’s wedding day here was one of those days that felt equal parts intimate, emotional, and a little bit magical (thanks, Colorado weather).
If you’re looking into Fort Collins wedding venues that feel tucked away in the mountains but still close to town, this one deserves a spot on your list!
Why Rist Canyon Inn Is Such a Dreamy Fort Collins Wedding Venue
Rist Canyon Inn is one of those places that instantly feels like a little mountain escape. You’ve got forest views, quiet surroundings, and that cozy Colorado vibe that makes everything feel warm and intentional. It’s perfect for couples who want the mountains without fully disappearing into the wilderness!
One of my favorite things about this Fort Collins Wedding Venue is how ideal it is for intimate weddings. The layout feels personal, not overwhelming, and it’s easy for guests to feel connected to the day instead of spread out across a huge space.
Plus, it’s super close to everything, which makes travel and lodging so much easier for guests. You get that secluded feel without asking everyone to drive hours into the mountains.
A Rainy Ceremony, Sunshine, and a Rainbow (Colorado Doing its Thing)
Amber and Bennet’s wedding day had all the classic Colorado weather drama, in the best way. Right before the ceremony, it started raining, so we pushed the timeline by about 20 minutes. And then, right when it was time for them to say their vows? The sky opened up, the sun came out, and it was absolutely perfect.
Later on during the reception, another rain shower rolled through (hello, Colorado monsoon season), and a full rainbow appeared over the venue. The planner, Aimie, joked that she was just that good and had ordered it specially for the wedding day! It was just such a fun and beautiful day, and it couldn’t have gone any better! Moments like that are exactly why I love photographing mountain weddings; you truly never know what the day will bring, but it always brings something beautiful!
